As you will have noticed SPC has updated the forum to a brand new version of phpBB.
This means we all will have some very cool new features for the forum without having to modify the software with mods(modifications from phpbb coders).

Some of the new features.

On the main page there is now a "Legend" along the bottom, all new groups.

Administrators and Global moderators are the staff,
The SuperModerator is obviously Allan (pug=309].
Then we have Registered Users who have all the main features of the forum to enjoy.
Theres Newly Registered users,who can post in the Work in progress sections,View the older contest sections and only View the sale and Trade Sections.This section has a restriction on posting until a Newly Registered User has at least 80 Posts.No Polls are allowed and the search feature is switched off until 80 posts.
We have COPPA users who are users who have been verified by an adult.
We also have Young Modellers, who are 16 and under.They will soon be able to enjoy contests and events that suit them.
Last but definitely not least,we have the Contest winners.These users have special access to SPC and this includes New features of the forum that are not visible yet.

I would like all members to pay particular attention to the orange,pink and black users, they will always need your assistance on the forums, so please help them out whenever you can.Please also encourage them by posting in their threads.

Whois Online notification.

Today I added a feature to the Online Chat...
You might have noticed theres a number next to the "Online chat [1]"
This indicates the number of users on the Chat.If you hold the mouse over the words you'll see the names of the users Online.

Also at the bottom of the page online users on the forum have an Asterisk next to their name. this also indicates that they are on the chat.

If you would like to get involved with the chat online but you are having problems... please pm me and i'll try to help you sort it out.

From today, 10.01.2011 there has been a few further updates to the forum. All inactive users from pre 2008 have been deleted to lighten the load.
The registration information shown on the forum when you register has been updated to include some new information.We have also included two new registration requirements.
Date of birth is added and Anti spambot is added. These two additional requirements on the registration mean the forum knows your age and can add you to the correct group if you are under 16yrs.
Also the anti Spambot requires you to reply to a simple question with a Yes/No reply. This will reduce the amount of spam we have suffered from recently.
Lastly.The chat Online feature is now NOT available to you if you are a guest or logged out from your account. This basically means only registered users can use this feature.
We have also planned to close the guest account feature as the forum has in excess of 15 NEW users registering per day..
Lastly.we are planning on a small pdf style magazine for SPC. I will let you know more information on this as we have it.
